Analysis of Goodbye
Sarah Brower 1995 (New Jersey)
If I die today
a drop of rain won’t fall
yellow grass won’t be nursed to health
ice won’t melt on the rooftops
If I die today
sun will rise
and sun will set
flowers will bloom
flowers will die
If I die today
mankind still walks the ground
no less happy
no less sad
If I die today
the earth wont stop
it won’t spin backwards
if I die today
time lives for eternity
