Unforgiven

joseph shelton 1991 (Florida)

To endure feelings
Of insecurities, and hopelessness, carries a burden within oneself,
Mindful of imagination an disbelief, paints a perfect picture of this created hell,

This time to shall come to an end,
No matter how long or hard it may seem,
There is a light that lies within,

I refuse to be a victim of self hatred,
Time now to remove the weight that's no longer sacred,

Smiles an laughter are just a small part of living,
Not having to look over your shoulders in a world that's unforgiven.
