The Path of Life

You make known to me the path of life
The fullness of joy is in your presence
Why would I go away from these?
To wander in the darkness?

The world is full of darkness
And violence is its king
To kill the unborn children
Is the song they love to sing

The way of life they do not know
They worship those who murder
And if you will not walk with them
They’ll call you a deserter

The ways of wicked men
I find abhorrent at the least
I wonder if they even know
That they are worshipping the beast

The one that causes terror
Brings destruction in the end
And it’s a funny thing to ask
But do you call the beast your friend?

Everyone is watching now
I think it is time to move
In which direction will you go?
This time you will have to choose

Walk with God!
Along the path of righteousness and you’ll see!
And when you come around the bend
You’ll be where you want to be
