Fictional Umbrella
Do you really have to be that honest?
Did I even mean anything to you? Please say yes...
I'll see you holding an umbrella for someone else
While I say "adorable" with a smiling face
I smile, while it rains, I am in pain
But there really wasn't something for me to gain
The word "best friend" didn't really suit us
Maybe we were meant to end.
And maybe I always was your second option,
Well, I at least hoped someday I was your first
And now you are somebody else, with dreams
And I'm stuck forever, with a foolish grin
I wouldn't even try to blame you
If I was you, I would hate me too
I hesitate to talk, what if I might not be of your worth?
What if you too find me stupid, maybe you already do
And I would be as faint as a fairy's wings
I would suddenly disappear without no evidence
So if you are seeing this, I promise
I was always supposed to be the loneliest me
