Drive It Home

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

You already have the title Lord
This vehicle is yours
So, take the keys and drive me now
It’s You that I adore

I’ve been driving for so long now
And I’ve really gotten tired
I want a chance to ride along
So, I can be inspired

To just look out the window and
To watch the clouds, go by
To get my self a little rest and
Wait for your blue sky
A covering for all the earth
Till you return again
To separate your enemies and
Gather up your friends
