Who Will Escape?

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Be aware of what’s on the other side!
The man who is will rarely slide.

Though he may slip and fall face first,
I’m sure that he will never thirst!

The man who does not know the Word,
Is like the weakest of the herd.

When a wolf comes with his hungry pack,
He separates him, to be attacked.

And though the herd escapes today,
Not one of them will get away.

The farmer and the butcher too,
Will have their eyes on each of you!
