2:16 am
Your new boyfriend likes to pretend he’s older than he is
He wears ankle high socks and throws up gang signs in all his photos
His close friends are girls, and he doesn’t post you unless he really has to
He grew up in a privileged family
an only child so he doesn’t know what it means to struggle like you do
You aren’t his first love but he knows how lucky he is to be with you
So he’ll never leave you
He plays you country songs that you pretend you are into
But I know how deep into the Lou Reed scene you could be
If he’s wise, he’ll do his best to earn you
And if he stays the little kid he is,
At least you’ll finally understand guys don’t grow up unless they really want to
