untitled#17

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

I have come too far to turn around. What lies in front of me is a world that at my birth I was promised to see; you ask how I can be so sure, and all I can say is I signed on the dotted line saying if I kept returning, I would receive all the riches and gold that I can ever dream of,

Yet I am not a man of greed, I do not care for the wealth that can not be taken with you when you die, I want peace, I like that particular kind of love that Disney movies talk about, I am that king without a crown, I am that soul who sits with the almighty Gods inside the gates of make-believe, and that's why they refuse to say a prayer for me as my loved ones cry for me saying boy why not make things easy for yourself and give in, well mama you never taught me the word quit.
