The Poet’s Love Alone
The Poet’s Love Alone
He whose heart is broken carries a warning
The love once given purely cast aside
Now aims for only one so deserving
His heart belongs to him alone.
The light glowing in the harsh darkness
Reflects the abundant, generous soul
He who survives the cold rejection
Grows the beauty of a new life.
Summoning courage and the power within
The privilege of a beautiful love awaits
Only offered unguarded to one woman
Who reflects his poetry and his alone.
