Dune hearts

Happy holiday cars passed by
on my way to warmest mars
I wanted you to stay some way
In the emptiness of my days
But your heart blew so far away
And my love softly fell with every moment
And I had to tell somebody that I
Was only theirs till the day Id die
And so as the dunes still blow on by
A single bouquet remains in my eye
And the rare flowers sometimes die
As they push loneliness aside
Sometimes the reeds say their prayers
Where the dunes change
Like cars in fresh lanes
And their light flickers in the parks and streets
And the friends eye who they'd not yet meet
And all watch the sun rise and fall
Curious to see how bright it's shawl
Whether desperate in its mighty plight
Or freed from it's addictive pull on earth
It determinedly shines warm as a starlit dune on all of Father Mother God's people
whether they feel it or not.
