Elevated Pretensions

Regardless of anyone's economic status.
Be they on top of the ladder.
Or in a position to hire whomever it is,
To stabilize that kind of apparatus...
From the bottom to prevent embarrassment.
With promises to them made,
They too someday can climb up.
If they stay praying faithfully to receive,
Good luck.

But...
Continued will often be heard to hear,
As to who is more entitled to deserve...
Attention to get for a display of loyalty.
Without complaining or whining about,
Who is doing what done around the clock.
While doing their best to not criticize,
Others observed...
Given opportunities from a few.
Showing those they rather prefer to use,
An elevator.
To reach the top of that ladder.
Without it to climb.

Or evidence of proof,
To have skills, knowledge or common sense.
Since all they are required to do,
Is to elevate their pretensions even higher!
