Unapologetically
I wanted more than I guess you were willing to be
From the beginning you showed me exactly what you thought of me
I chose not to see the reality, I blinded myself so completely
I wanted to be loved so desperately, I gladly accepted every breadcrumb you threw at me
Although I questioned at times, I buried the doubts deep down inside
I really can’t blame you, I made it so easy
I broke my own heart by falling so deeply
I won’t regret it, the lesson has been learned
Eventually I’ll forget that I love you, you’ll be nothing more than a memory
Now it’s time to walk away, to protect me
For the first time in my life I’m choosing to love me unapologetically
