Poem 675

Peering into the unknown

Not knowing who is there

No response ever shown

Of their presence unaware

Typing away into blank space

Words slowly form and create

Another day trying to erase

As patiently I wait

The feeling of nervous anticipation

An exuberant tide rising

Slowly dissapaiting elation

The response not surprising

Nothingness, no requite

Ending my momentary delight

My escape from everyday life. I am a fan of haikus, tankas, sonnets, rhyming poetry and stylistic poetry such as E. E. Cummings. more…
