    How does the voting work?

Narrow down the poems to your favorites, then vote for the one you like the most. You can only select one as the one you want to win a place in the contest.

I hope I win this time.

The best is voting for me and seeing the bright side of my poems.

The best wishes for all contestants.

We vote for the poems; it's not judged by a panel, except by a panel of peers.

I can't open them to read them... New here and still figuring everything out. Thanks!

I noticed that the last poem I entered had 67 views, does that mean that less than 1/2 of the voters read it?

As mentioned before, the view count only includes voters who fully open your poem for reading, not those who see the preview. Most voters read a good portion in the preview box before voting, but those interactions aren’t counted.

The contest officially starts in 15 days, which is the deadline to lock in all of the submissions. Then, once it starts, you have a few (7, I think) days to read them all and place your vote.

Looking forward to read some fresh writes! I think it could be beneficial to be mindful of how we title our work. Not knowing what people go through, using graphic language could be triggering to some. Not an attack, just an opinion^.^

Good call out. People who put graphic language in theirs are only guaranteeing that people like me, will never read it lol.

No one has to read what they don't want to. I'm sure people sift through poems. I know I do.. Even inadvertently, I would hate for someone to relive any trauma and loose enjoyment. Speaking from personal experience, it's not comfortable. So I thought it was important to call awareness^.^

Thanks for the encouragement, I really like your poems I could actually read! Social media site, sigh. You are really very good! I feel like some folks are very serious about this (and very verbose in their feedback) I hope I do not offend anyone by just having some fun, enjoying good poetry, etc.
