Analysis of Peace in Pain
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
I never knew how rich I was
Till I lived among the poor
I never knew what suffering was
Till it knocked upon my door
The softest touch and gentle kiss
Are nothing in my sight
Unless they lead me down the road
To doing what is right
If I did not know Jesus
Then I could not share his pain
But now because I live for him
My faith is not in vain
