Analysis of Poetry As A Spiritual Thing In The Similitude Of God
God is unseen. But the heavens speak
Of His glory and the Earth, His beauty.
In like manner, poetry is a transaction
Between the soul & spirit of a man.
But the chests of books & brilliant
Digital screens portray it concrete. God
Is a poet. Poetry is a scripture. There's
A Genesis where a poet begins to
Command light upon the dark vacuum
Of his mind. David comes to mind.
Poetry, too, is unseen. It
Remains void & formless until letters
Like the stars & the moon begin to
Light the sea of its content.
Like a virgin at labour, a poet says
"Let land levitate" and there's a
Birthing from the deep within – upon
Which her subject matter, like every
Creeping things, find a balance in
Honor of crafty gravity. The firmament
Beams the mood of the moment.
Darkness looms like the face of the
Sky at night. At times, a poem shines
Like an adult sun. Night & day, the
Sixth day produces an Adam – a
Handicraft – mirrored before the face
Of a poet. A poet sees & says "it is good"
Night & day, the seventh day comes
With rest as an incentive.
