Born to be Angels

I knew you two were there,
I could feel you move and bump.
I longed for the day you’d be here, so I could love you both,
With all my Fatherly care.

My baby girl came first, a precious thing to see,
You came so early, It wasn’t meant to be.
As if she lay sleeping, in my hands she was curled,
My tiny baby daughter, moved onto another world.

My little boy came next, he bravely tried with might,
But no matter what we did, my little son,
He lost his valiant fight.

They were with us, for but a heartbeat,
But they are together now.
I can only say my children,
Until again we meet.
