Unity Living
He ascended, what does it mean?
Did He descend under the earth?
Any witness that might had seen,
Such a feat for what it is worth.
He descended deep underground,
Then ascended up to Heaven;
To His Father as Heaven bound,
For salvation that is given.
He gave apostles and prophets,
Evangelists and the teachers;
The shepherds as well as poets,
As an outreach being preachers.
He equipped saints for ministry,
Building up the body of Christ;
For revealing the mystery,
The reason He was sacrificed.
So your knowledge becomes mature,
Unity and diversity;
The Son of God able to cure,
Connected with perversity.
Know more about the perfect man,
Stature of the fullness of Christ;
Because the Father has a plan,
That you will become enticed.
No longer to be a child,
Tossed around by waves and the wind;
No deceit to make you wild,
But spiritually disciplined.
Rather speaking the truth in love,
So we may grow up into Him;
As the head in all things thereof,
Know joy rather than feeling grim.
The whole body joined together,
Each part is working properly;
Builds up the love as they gather,
Perfection that is orderly.
