My Picture – Part 1
Better colours I could not afford for you,
Thus no one has seen my picture with you.
Without it I am living with nothing
My whole life was devoted just to you.
There is nothing now in my picture
Left colourless, as no more am I a teacher.
I wanted to live with you firm in my heart,
So I could just paint with colour my sad part.
Your beauty was not for me nor you;
My soul is hurting, I am without you.
Sad colours I have collected always
So I could not recreate our happy days.
Being needed was not enough
For even me or you;
I saw them enjoying themselves
While I was away from you.
I saw a picture of someone
Else with you;
From then on,
I was screaming out
Just for you.
Washed, I saw your unused colours
Running away from me,
Mixing angrily in a rotten stream,
That once was so pure for me.
I saw you as a beauty just by-passing me,
Nothing I could do, just feel sorrow for me.
Thinking of you within my crying heart,
Drawing in sadness,
Lest you can no more be art,
There was nothing left for me nor you;
To kill my self, hurting others,
Is no way of valuing you.
That each of my pictures
Adds painful ripples.
Your tuneful poems may well be
Flowing from your sad heart.
I do appreciate them more
As a singer as all are crying art.
Let us both thank Ann
For valuing the work
Of humans like us.
Worthily existing with a lost cause,
Yet still proud as us.
