static noise

Shut out the sounds with a bit of music,
Feel how it all kinda fades,
Shut out the world with one that is perfect,
Create your own life in shimmering shades.

And still, though I try with a bit of music,
It can never be silenced for long,
All through my life, a static noise,
Forms a wicked and twisted song.

I wander through the thick haze of my mind,
To find a spark to light,
Still, my love cannot be found,
And proves my mind is not right.

I’ve had years of sadness lingering,
Couldn’t comprehend how much it destroys,
But I know now, forever haunted by,
That paralysing static noise.
