Garden Summer

Cicadas chirping snatch me from my reverie
sweating eyes urge I to swab them dry
Gleaming wings, a  Butterfly flits by
Bees hover over flowers
they disappear

LadyBirds seek each others scent
Dragonflies assemble aside a stream

Is there a God so grand to allow
Commune with nature I ponder now
I rest my head return to dream
Rest my mind, let the day continue

Two ladybirds try to find each other's scent
 A dragonfly is waiting by
a stream
Cicadas chirping wake me from my dream
My eyes they sweat I try to wipe them dry
A butterfly flits past her wings do gleam
Bees hover over flowers then float on by

Relax my mind I let the day pass by
Is there a God so grand to make
Commune with nature I marvel this scene
I lay my head return to sleep and sigh
Relax my mind I let the day pass by
