What use would a squirrel have for nukes?
How big is your world?
I mean really look around
The places you go
or
the places you have
access to
You scurry among the leaves
I see your careful search
We make eye contact
Hold for a minute
I feel a new sensation
don’t you?
You mind your business so well
What else is there for you
to mind, I guess?
I don’t know what else
could trouble you
Really
We do live in a world physically
the same
but fundamentally not the
same
I can’t help but wonder
how we got here
Blue
Yellow
People gather for the conflict
Everyone’s talking about it
but no one knows a thing
The crowd shouts, but
He
Laughs
They
Laugh
It’s all just a game
It’s our lives!
There’s power in individuality
There’s power in expression
There’s power in organization
There’s reality in money
Lots of money
Manual: Paper straws and paper bags
will do no good
unless we use them
to clog the exhaust pipes
of the factories
Here’s a story
The puppetry show: closing night
We’re playing featured roles
I was given creative freedom
British: Don’t be ridiculous
They’ll play you as they please
The End
It’s crazy to think that you just
peal acorns
All day
And chase friends
occasionally
I’d love to see things like you
without the phobias and the
misunderstanding
or lack of willingness
to understand
You would never have a war
Imagine!
Against who? And the tiny spears?
No one could take you
seriously
Teller’s toys could do a number
on us all
I think we take that for granted
In the push of a button
Maybe you’d borrow some for your war
What use
would a squirrel have for nukes?
Anyway
It’s funny to think about
but it’s not much different
What can they do with their
posters and flags?
Our world is smaller
than we admit
The grim reapers whistle
May call for us
Will call for some
You wouldn’t know the difference
Maybe our world’s aren’t quite so different
At least
they shouldn’t be
