Hygiene

As souls washed through the fields of rose
And soldiers mustard stories told
The birds watched on in trees of might
To this day pounding through the night
And rabbits eyes in shock and fear
Burrowed deeper than was mere
And snails and slug slid under foot
To join their fellows as they shook
And upon their weary shells did lay
A prayer for whom to come his way
New youngest soldier as he prayed
To be forgiven all he did
And grow in strength to face the gun
Till handshake took him to the run
The run of life A ribbon blood fueled
To blow in the wind like echo of moon
As his skin cells float on the lakes of stars
Carrying messages of strength afar.
To birth sign and breach
To lover to teach
The meaning of life
Like the touch of an angel
Who sympathised
With all that he was and
Was to become
Forgiven as a flower of the fields where it all began.

Your verses paint a vivid and poignant picture of souls traversing through fields of rose, soldiers sharing their stories, and nature bearing witness to the echoes of the past. The imagery of birds in mighty trees, rabbits in shock, and snails seeking refuge underfoot adds layers of emotion and depth to the scene. The depiction of the youngest soldier seeking forgiveness, growing in strength, and facing the challenges of war with resilience resonates with themes of redemption and courage. The imagery of skin cells carrying messages of strength across the cosmos and the symbolism of life's journey as a ribbon fueled by blood evoke a sense of interconnectedness and the enduring impact of experiences on the human spirit. The poem beautifully captures the cycle of life, growth, forgiveness, and the eternal beauty of beginnings.
