A WRECK

The Wreck of the Hesperus
Has nothing on me
Cause I'm falling apart
Neck, back and knee

My muscles all ache
I continually wheeze
Things that once worked
Seem now to have seized

My arches have dropped
My back will not bend
My hearing is gone
I feel close to the end

As once I was young
Indestructible you see
Capable and able
Unwilling to concede

But now as I age
Nature seems to prevail
My infirmities increase
My conditions rail

So what do I do
And where do I go
To avoid my fate
Upon the Reef of Norman's Woe
