I ought not to fall

I whip thy heart not beat.
And thy body shall not feel the heat.
Thy cheeks shall not be red.
And "I love you shall not be said.
My mind is made up, I shall never fall.
For love is just a hallucination to trick us all.

It's a mockery of what a fool we are.
And if it occurs to knock on my door.
I will peak through the window and watch it knock as I ignore.
And if it happens to call my name.
I shall tell it to go away.
I'm not afraid of letting it in.
I just don't want to waste my time being hypnotized and do anything to be heartbroken.

To love is too be human! It may be scary to open oneself up to it, but it is always worth it
