Beauty Within

A reflection portrays a vision
which initiates a decision;
One of delight or one that is rot;
Eyes choose to focus on what it is naught.

The chosen visage seen by the eye
is heard by words as told in a lie;
Placed deep in the mind as if meant to be
and what it now sees is no longer thee.

Voices whispering in the ear
distort and twist and conjure up fear;
While painting an image that cuts like a knife
seeking to snuff out the canvas of life.

Deep in the heart reassurance springs forth,
words from the Father tell one of great worth.
A vision of delight, a new story is told,
sealed up in the Spirit, new life to behold.
