Every While
Once in a while he sends me a song.
It’s always one I’ve never heard before.
It’s always one I love.
Once in a while he checks in again.
It’s always when I’m feeling lonely.
I’m always empty.
Every while, his name crosses my mind.
It’s always on my tongue.
I can taste him.
I always want to cry. I don’t.
I always love him. But I won’t.
