Confused

Moments have given way to the pain of the past
like a puppy lost in its world am lost in yours
everything seems new and you still smile each day
does anguish ever cross your path?

Fruits i shall compare to you lips, for am curious
all the sweet words of love they utter with excitement
fingers writing letter of passion only we can understand
clouds form shaped around your face am perplexed

as the shrines of my youth slowly turn into glory
there she stands with so much poise
like all that matter has formed around her
a flower in a weed garden her touch ravishes mine

as age chips each second by, i yearn for your hugs
your dreams i share with  all i have
Roasters sing songs of our triumphing love
for in the wee hours we shall rejoice before the world
