Every time I awake
I just fall
I delusionally walk through the day
and hit a wall

I stumble a little
seem to catch myself
put all my thoughts aside
up high on a shelf

I'm numb all the time
I feel it all too
nothing gets past me
yet it does through and through

I'm lonely all day
by my animals help some
but the pain grows deeper
so does it all, but I, still numb

I'm a firecracker in the wind
that explodes with no telling when
I'm the extra in the room
