if only i was allowed to be a man
picking artists making plans
instead of the boy they wouldn't sign in
left for dead isn't dead from where I begin
having to forgo my first wins
isn't an easy task
fresh musicians to fight the stale musicians' cash
the first killers of my first songbook
couldn't make me their cook
it wasn't wrong to start fresh sound
being left out of my mix
didn't make their allowed
to be less of a fresh sound
