My mind and me

Streaks of sorrow accustom me to rip apart.
Life is a bed of roses, yet I see prickling thorns
I crave to rest, but the boggling mind drifts toward the darkness
A furrow of light touches my soul, yet I feel the burn
The fickle mind rewinds my history, draining my strength
I am losing myself amidst the constant bickering with myself
My mind is a sinking ship with no destination
I cuddle in the corner, weep in solitude
My attire is oblivious to reality
This audacious vessel yearns to flee, yet the flickered mind shoves my wings.

When I look in the mirror, I am alarmed by the helpless ailment
Melancholy is deep-rooted, choking my sanctity
Swamped by oceans of emotions, stuck in the void
A bubble of spirit seems far-fetched, tearing me apart
I am tangled in thoughts, craving relief
The polar nature of my mind is flaking my judgment
Everything is piling up; I am cold
Steps are glued in the past, forming my present
Loving lives bless me, yet I can’t feel the warmth
I pinch myself to wake up and stand tall, but I can’t see my path
My mind and I are at constant war.

The role of my part craves to breathe
I am in flames, sobbing to find a purpose
Begging my gods to descend mercy
Each moment I pray to shatter storms within me
I pray to find warmth in my loved ones
I pray to live.!
