Have you ever?

Just stopped all that
You are doing, saying.
A mental fart of sort.
Nothing to report, save
A pleasant hiatus
From now.
Or perhaps from plow?
Brain has been overworked
Perhaps.
Unsteady plans.
Worries, bill paying.
Children and school reports.
Good or bad.
Job issues with new foreman.
That shameful moment
You had, when something
Bad got noticed.
And the Brain said
“Whoa Brother, Cool it.
Save some adrenaline, wontchya?
I am calling recess.”

(Just like when the school bell
Rings beneath your apartment.
And the kids get all
Silly, as silly they must.)
