Atleast Not Today

Another argument another hurt soul
We disagree over the phone
Because neither of us have control
I end my night crying
By friday though the both of us are whining

My mind is all over the place
But still i sit with a straight face

My fist could hit my headboard all day
But still my world would shake

I sit in a room with white walls
Thinking what i did so wrong

My heart sunk into the deep blue ocean
Why didn't you at least call

Look at me the same
I'd hate to be the blame

I sit beneath these black & glittery sheets
Tapping a black gel pen against my ripped up jeans

Finally as the tip of the pen gently touches the paper
All i can see are those brown eyes & perfectly clear lies

I shiver in this dark lonely skin of mine
Thinking of how badly i messed up this time

So much guilt im just ashamed a
How could i do this knowing im who to blame
You give me a look
While i have nothing more to say but
“I didn't do it”
At Least not today
