The bondage of debt

Debt is here to stay
— it will not just go away.
Debt means that I have no heat
— and sometimes do not eat.
Debt is not just overspending
— it's a downhill spiral, unending.
Debt means staying at home
feeling an outcast and all alone.
Debt means going without
— and having to eke things out.
Debt may be large or small
— but it can make you feel, suicidal.

I would just love to be debt free
— Help me break these chains of my captivity
