SQUAT
THE STREET WAS IN DECAY
EVERY HOUSE DERELICT
THE WALLS WERE SUFFERING FROM FRATIGUE CRUMBLING IN DISTRESS AND DAMPNESS
BRICK WALLED WINDOWS
LOCKED UNHINGED DOORS
UN EVEN AND MISSING FLOORS
A ROOF OF MISPLACED TILES
WE CRAWLED UNDER THE METAL SHEETS
SLITHERED LIKE SNAKES INTO THE GROUND
FLOOR KITCHEN
HITCHING OURSELVES INTO OUR NEW HOME
THE ELECTRICITY HAD BEEN DISCONNECTED
AS HAD WE
THE UNWASHED OF OUR SOCIETY
