Encounter

If I gave myself to you, so willingly,
And let you do as you please with me,
Would I find myself filled with regret,
Or would our encounter be one
I won't dismiss from mind?

Trusting someone who's hardly an acquaintance,
Leaves me wondering if you'll show restraint,
Are you willing to be completely exposed,
To make sure
That neither of us dethrones?

Is it worth taking such a huge chance,
To ensure that our passions, together, will frolic?
I hope we both look back on this moment in age,
When I gave you my body,
And let you be mine.
