I THINK MY WORDS KNOW YOU

With my mind in my thoughts and my favorite pen in hand, I write the words of my life, unknowingly knowing that they may be someone else's survival plan, for I speak my truth while trying to stand on my own two feet.

I made family, friends, and lovers cry whenever I got in my mood and wanted to crawl up into a ball and die. I have been through hell and back many times, but once again, I found myself through the darkness, and so can you. We need to live without wanting to die and to live and not just survive.

My words are my story. I tell them, well, to whoever cares to read or to hear, this darkness is not us. We do not need a pill to escape fear or a mood for a moment.

I am not saying that the depression and the manic phases are inaccurate because for a second, a day, a week, a month, a year, those feelings like a noose around our neck are all we feel.

My words have saved me many times when I thought I would lose my goddamn mind. I do not know you, but I think my words do

So take what you need for your soul to feed, please remember it's all temporary, and we must cry, but there is no reason to die. Trust me, and I think my words know you. For once, I was only a sentence gone unread, but now, many letters that hold some importance tell you you are not alone. Just read this poem because I think my words know you.

Wow!! I feel like your talking to me. Because your words know me. Thank you so much. Your words do truly inspire others. And help others get of the ledge of hopelessness.
