Possessions to acquire them,
Temporarily satisfies.
To leave what has been possessed,
Left behind to forget how much wanted...
They once had been.
Obtaining an attention.
Gone to prioritize them to mention.

Fast to get and quick to leave.
Impressions to make.
In a materialistic based society.
And these days relationships are treated,
As something different and new...
To try listed on a menu.
With a sample offered to sniff, lick or nibble.

For whatever the reason reminisced,
Missed are simple things; a simple life lived.
Without opinions solicited or excuses made,
Many seem to seek a basic way to enjoy life.
And finding a keeping up of appearances,
Becomes just as boring to indulge...
