WITH THE GREEN GRASS GROWING FREE

"Does the crying ever cease?"
I asked,
As the pearl rolled down my cheek,
"For the Seekers of the Mystery,
For those Ones who seek?"
As the nun slid down the banister,
In the corners of my mind
Take me down forever
Take me down, the voices chimed.
To my cradle in the heather,
To your warm arms down below,
Mother Earth, please shelter me,
In your soft, brown glow.
And I will sing a Shaman's song,
With the green grass growing free,
A turtledove above me,
Dancing in a tree
Crystal wind-chimes whispering
Laughing in the breeze
And I will sing forever
With the green grass growing free.

About this poem

I was awakened at 3 a.m. one wild and windy morning by this poem, which popped out unexpectedly. Don't know where it came from. The Cosmos?
