Void

In the depths of my soul, an empty void
A black hole that consumes all joy
Where once was light, now only darkness
A place of numbness, a heartless carcass

The emptiness consumes me, a relentless force
Leaving me feeling lost and without remorse
No amount of love or laughter can fill
This endless pit, where hope is nil

I search for meaning, for something to hold
But the empty void is a story untold
It takes and takes, never giving back
Leaving me adrift on this endless track

But still I fight, against the emptiness within
Hoping one day the light will begin
To fill the void, and bring me peace
And make the empty void finally cease.
