What’s in life, if Not…

What’s in life, if Not…
Resplendent,
if that’s the word that ignites
the fire in this Festive night of Lights
in my heart,
gelling, melting, in cubic meters,
for you my love
along the space of this earth of the sun,
it’s a providence.
I mean, if along the miles we walk
thru meadows, vegetation, and the waters of life
it’s the meaning.
Let’s celebrate the import of life.

About this poem

Backgrounder: Today is Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, celebrated in India and in many parts of the world. On this day, people enjoy resplendent fire works as marks of advent of Winter and removal of toxins in the air through fireworks. Inner Meaning: The smog from the fireworks creates environmental issues if not celebrated with restraints. Both smoke and smog need to be contained to keep the ozone layer unbroken and maintain the flow of oxygen from the vegetation. At the same time for the life, we need to keep the waters unpolluted. That’s the real celebration of life.
