Ignored Scars



My chest aches greatly
Not something a human can bear
I took my heart out
To get rid of it
Yet that was when I witnessed
How many scars were carved into it

               Old and new
           Deep and shallow

About this poem

This poem talks about how people hurting you yet you decide to ignore the damage they have done for a long time instead of accepting it, pushing them away and try to heal.
