Natures Plan

Cities rise from summers remnants
Where winter had its way
Through ice in spite, life broke through
And sprang from disarray

Where once was fallen now doth rise
Upon a breathless yesterday
It seems in death, life always finds
A path for a new today

Where warmth surrounds to again awaken
Where shadows even the light
A balance achieved where life is redeemed
And hope is realized

Yet, with it comes new moments of struggle
An effort for life to withstand
All of the hindrances of natures brutality
Within the palm of her hand

Arisen amongst ancient history
And kissed with the same fate
For those alive, soon dusk will arrive
Where death patiently waits

And though the end will come to pass
For the leaf and tree together
A whisper arrives suggesting softly
That their beauty will last forever
