BE SILENT !

BE SILENT

Be silent, don't say a word,
They don't give a flip what ya heard
Accept their way, or be a hater
Bow before sin, now or later
They call darkness light
They cry it's their right
But then deny the responsibility
I've got to say that's an impossibility
I'm gonna say, wrong is wrong
I won't praise sin, it don't belong
If you sin, judgment will fall
Even if it's accepted by them all
I stand, faithful in my defiance
By God's Grace I'll break my silence!
Who are you to demand my obedience?
Who are you to own my allegiance?
I stand in the Blood of the Lamb,
And I tell you your "rights" are a sham
You throw your sin in defiance of Grace
Taunting God, saying He'll not show His face
But I warn you repent, for judgment grows
The staining of innocence on our country shows
But it seems the voices all fall silent
Fearful before this woke giant
I will stand, if I must alone
And like David I pick my stone
I really don't care if you bring a sword,
Cause I stand true in the name of the Lord
The more you shout, intimidate or demand
The more true children of God will stand
You can cancel me, berate me, or say I hate
But I'll stand true, God holds my fate
And I've got to say His Spirit is stirred
So be silent, don't say a word
AMEN

About this poem

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6 12
