Paper Love

Free verse
Press pen to paper, heart pleads,
Depress the weight, love bleeds.
Stress lifted, I need you please,
Caress a name, pain finds ease.

Love in ink, thoughts and trees,
Gray or blurred, right degrees.
Black and green, you and me.

Head full of steam, again we link.
Raise a glass, on passion's brink,
Drowned our tracks, a secret drink.
Sounds the same, as love does sink.

About this poem

When I write it feels like my pen is bleeding my pain and sorrow, yet also my love and joy. Through the ups and downs I find myself searching for connection. That is exactly what my words desperately need to express.
