Road Trip

You and me
And the lights up in Philly
It's all I'll ever need.

A drive north up 85
You were so full of life,
Eyes as green as I've ever seen.

We put miles between us
And our worries,
You'd have to see to know what I mean.

Playing music so loud
Windows down the wind blowing,
So carefree as you start to sing.

I've never known a soul
So reckless and bold,
She stuck by me somehow.

She's been the one
Since the day that I met her,
Given what I know now.

Walking the streets
Of New York City
I cant believe she chose me too.

Thinking in a bar
"Damn if I lost her"
I don't know what the hell I'd do.

By the time we hit the coast
I knew more than most
I wanted her now.

I just couldn't wait
For the time and the date
For God's sake I just didn't know how.

The salt on your skin
Made my head spin
Round and round.

It felt so right
On the beach that night
I was lost and then I was found.
