The Echoes of Emptiness

In the shadows of my mind, I wander alone,
A soul adrift, without a home.
Each day a struggle, a silent fight,
Against the darkness, against the night.

I wake to a world that feels so cold,
A heart that’s weary, a spirit old.
No family to hold, no friends to care,
Just echoes of emptiness, everywhere.

Depression’s grip, a heavy chain,
Binding my heart, inflicting pain.
I search for meaning, for a place to belong,
But every step feels so wrong.

Relationships crumble, like sand in my hand,
I try to hold on, but can’t understand.
Why do I ruin what I cherish most?
Why am I haunted by this ghost?

In the mirror, I see a face,
Lost in time, lost in space.
A reflection of sorrow, of endless night,
A soul yearning for the light.

Yet in this darkness, a flicker remains,
A hope that one day, I’ll break these chains.
That I’ll find a place, a heart to mend,
A life with meaning, a true friend.

For now, I walk this path alone,
A journey of healing, to the unknown.
With every step, I seek the dawn,
A new beginning, where I belong.
