Stalwart

I wish I was just broke, but I'm shattered,
It's hard to believe nothing to you mattered,
You fooled me into dropping my guard,
Just to grab my heart and crush it hard,
Leaving me to drown in my own tears,
Left alone, as everyone just disappears,
And even when it's my life I have to pay,
As long as you're smiling, I'll be okay,
So use your worst painful technique,
And let me show you why I'm truly unique,
I'll take all of this, and turn it into fuel,
So I can continue treating you like a jewel.
