Victorious Resurrection
I will tell you a mystery,
Not all of us will fall asleep;
But we shall see that history,
The future will no longer keep.
For in the twinkling of an eye,
You will hear the last trumpet sound;
As you see the silent not cry,
And the dead are heavenly bound.
Perishable bodies we live,
We must have immortality;
And God is willing to forgive,
To give a new reality.
Corruptible body since birth,
Death swallows up in victory;
While we live here on the earth,
Till time for the benedictory.
O grave, where is your victory,
O death, what happened to your sting;
Or is it contradictory,
Unto this life that I may cling.
Because the sting of death is sin,
The power of sin is the Law;
That corrupts the body within,
Causing to develop a flaw.
But thanks to God who gives us hope,
Victory through Lord Jesus Christ;
Shows us the way for us to cope,
Not in vain, He was sacrificed.
The abounding work of the Lord,
For His labor was not in vain;
That believers are not ignored,
Since Jesus has absorbed the pain
