LUCIFER

I'm tired of praying to God,
Lucifer, can you help me instead?
I'm looking for brown eyes with a mind full of serene,
Strong willed arms that can carry these broken dreams of mine and repair them,                                                                                                                   Mend my broken bones                                                                                                                     Soothe my troubled soul                                                                                                                          Save these sinking ships
And send me to a suburbia that will breathe halcyon days into our air                                                                                                                                                    Lucifer, I'm at my end, exiting his cathedral into your lake of fire,
Can you help me find love without a soul as a fee as a gesture of your redemption to the God who ignores                                                                                                                                                                                                     my                                                                                                                                                                                                prayers?

About this poem

Its about the longing for a companion that can lead someone to a complete state of despair and desperation, even to the point that they would seek help from the devil and not God.
